Big Jewelry is in - The Latest Trends in Jewelry Fashion

The runway has shown us already what styles will be in. As far as jewelry is concerned, big is in. This is not only true for the sizes of the major stones in a jewelry pieces, this is true as well for the metal used in the jewelry. Silver is hot right now not only because it is far better priced than Gold at the present, but because one can manufacture larger pieces and still stay within a budget that is acceptable. Jewelry stores traditionally sell more in terms of value in silver than they do in gold.

This season, there are designs ranging from massive metal flowers to huge rocks and pebbles for the fall of 2010. The trend is that necklaces should make large statement and that earrings should be exotic inspired and preferably be chandelier. A lot of far eastern designs, in particular Indian inspired pieces are on the hot list.

Due to the price of Gold, a lot of mesh designs are produced. These give the impression of a large piece, but a lesser amount of metal is being used in the manufacture. In this regard some feather motives are put into the jewelry lineup. Once can say that big and bold will stand out to show off dramatically unusual necklaces. There will be large stones in large bracelets. Black will be in, especially black diamonds. Diamond sellers and traders have been hit hard by the recessions and they are pulling out all the stops. Big hoop earrings will be back this year. Colors will be yellow (even yellow gold) and some of the reddish stones and precious materials such as coral. Some manufacturers have experienced with changes of gold colors such as chocolate or Russian red. These colors were seen first in the European trade shows, but they will be in the shops this year.

To find out what is in, one only has to go to the jewelry fashion sites of major manufacturers or brands such as gucci.com or dior.com or chanel.com or visit leading model designers or model makers such as 3dbull.com and 123proto.com to see what is coming up for the new season. These are the real indicators, since this is where manufacturers go before they are starting their newest lines.
